Prof Silberstein just returned from the annual Society for Experimental Mechanics Conference and Exposition in Greenville, SC. Her talk entitled “Nonwoven Mechanics: Microstructure-based Modeling and Validation” included the experimental work of MMD lab graduate student Naigeng Chen and CHESS postdoctoral fellow Margaret Koker. Prof Silberstein was also elected secretary of the Time Dependent Materials technical division.
