Our latest collaborative paper with the Diesendruck group at the Technion is now out in Advanced Functional Materials. “Highly Stretchable Polymers: Mechanical Properties Improvement by Balancing Intra- and Intermolecular Interactions” was co-first authored by soon to defend MMD PhD candidate Suwon Bae and Diesendruck group PhD candidate Or Galant. In this work, Or and Suwon used a combination of synthesis, experiments, and molecular dynamics simulations to elucidate how intramolecular crosslinking can be used to tailor the mechanical response of bulk rubbery polymers.
